A Baltimore man is facing attempted murder charges after a shooting in the Central District left a 30-year-old man wounded Sunday morning.
What happened: Baltimore police responded to the 200 block of North Eutaw Street around 11:21 a.m. May 10 after a report of a shooting. Officers found a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The victim had been shot in the 300 block of Marion Street and traveled to North Eutaw Street before police were called. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The arrest: About two hours later, at approximately 1:37 p.m., officers still working the scene in the 100 block of North Eutaw Street arrested 32-year-old Antonio Chase of Baltimore. Police seized a loaded handgun from Chase at the time of his arrest.
The charges: Chase was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility and charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault, and handgun violations.
