More than 50 students bike to school in Anne Arundel County

More than 50 students arrived at Ridgeway Elementary School on bikes Wednesday for National Bike to School Day.

Officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Western District, along with traffic coordinators from the Western, Northern, and Southern districts, lined the school route to support the event and promote safe riding habits.

National Bike to School Day is an annual event held each May that encourages students to ride or walk to school rather than travel by car or bus.
