A 57-year-old man died following a shooting in Woodlawn Wednesday night. Baltimore County police said homicide detectives are investigating the killing and asking the public for information.

What’s Happening: Officers were called to the 6700 block of Windsor Mill Road in the 21207 ZIP code at about 9:10 p.m. Nov. 4. They found the man suffering from several gunshot wounds to his upper body.

What’s Important: Emergency crews took him to a local hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead. His name had not been released as of Thursday.

What We Know: Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit are handling the investigation. A homicide investigation looks into a death caused by another person. The term alone does not establish whether murder occurred or identify who was responsible.

Do You Know Anything?: Anyone who has information can reach homicide detectives at (410) 887-4636. The number spells INFO on a telephone keypad.

Anonymous tips can be submitted to Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland at (866) 756-2587. The final seven digits spell 7LOCKUP. Information provided by phone or online may qualify for a cash reward of up to $2,000.

Residents can also share information through the Baltimore County Police Department’s iWATCH program. The police notice did not include directions for using the program.

The Process: Tips can help detectives find witnesses, obtain video or learn what happened before and after a shooting. Payment is not guaranteed because the Crime Stoppers program says information may be eligible for a reward.
