A 14-year-old boy was shot inside a Baltimore home last week, and a 17-year-old relative has been charged in connection with the shooting, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
What happened: The shooting occurred May 28 inside a residence in the 3600 block of Noble Street in the Southeast District. Police took the 17-year-old into custody at the scene and detectives questioned him.
The charges: The 17-year-old faces first degree assault, reckless endangerment, and handgun violations. He is currently being held.
What we know: Police identified the suspect as a relative of the 14-year-old victim. The 14-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. Because the suspect is a juvenile, police did not release their name.
