Two oversized transports could delay traffic on Maryland roads Sunday morning and Monday night. The loads include part of a large metal sculpture and a 560,500-pound transformer.

What’s Happening: The sculpture load will travel from 3 to 7 a.m. Sunday along I-495 and MD-185, also known as Connecticut Avenue, into Washington, D.C. The transformer will move through Baltimore and Harford counties Monday night, August 31.

What’s Important: Coordinated transport crews and escort vehicles will help move both loads. Drivers should slow down, remain alert and give the loads and crews ample space.

How This Affects Real People: Traffic delays are possible along both routes. Drivers should never travel between an oversized load and its escort vehicles.
