A man died and two others were wounded in a shooting in Baltimore’s Federal Hill neighborhood earlier this month. Now, detectives are asking the public to help identify a third person they believe is connected to the killing.

What happened: Curtis Knox, 41, was shot and killed in the 1000 block of South Hanover Street at about 2:50 a.m. June 6. Two other men, ages 35 and 40, were also shot. Both are expected to survive. Patrol officers already in the area heard the gunshots and responded immediately.

Knox was a former Baltimore City teacher and had attended Morgan State University.

Where the investigation stands: No arrests have been made. Detectives have not released a suspected motive. Baltimore police previously released surveillance images of two women they wanted to identify in connection with the shooting, but have since confirmed they are no longer looking for those individuals.

New development: Detectives released a new surveillance photo Monday showing a person they believe is connected to the shooting. The image shows a woman with dark hair wearing a black off-the-shoulder top, patterned shorts, and white sneakers.

How to help: Anyone who recognizes the person in the photo is asked to call detectives at (410) 396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-2587.
