BALTIMORE — A man was found dead after firefighters put out flames at a West Baltimore home.
What’s Happening: Police are investigating a suspicious death after fire crews discovered a man’s body while battling a blaze in the 1000 block of West Lanvale Street around 8:30 p.m. Monday.
What’s Important: The Baltimore City Fire Department called police for help after finding the body at the back of the home as they worked to put out the fire. The man’s identity and how he died remain unknown. His body was sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office for identification and to determine the cause of death.
Between the Lines: Homicide detectives are leading the investigation and asking anyone with information to call them.
