Charles County residents will see county flags flying at half-staff this week in memory of a longtime public servant.
What’s Happening: The Charles County Commissioners ordered all county flags lowered to half-staff until December 12 to honor former Director of Public Facilities Michael Mudd.
What’s Important: Mudd served Charles County for more than 30 years before retiring. The Department of Public Facilities oversees county roads, bridges, buildings, vehicles, and equipment, along with managing landfill operations and snow removal services.
