Maryland residents should prepare for wet weather Sunday afternoon before a shift to clearer, colder conditions.

What’s Happening: Rain is likely between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, with temperatures reaching near 50 degrees. Expect between a tenth and quarter inch of rain.

What’s Important: The biggest weather shift comes Sunday night when temperatures drop to around 32 degrees with wind gusts as high as 30 mph. The combination will make it feel significantly colder than the daytime high.

Between the Lines: The wind won’t let up much through early week. Gusts could reach 20 mph during Sunday’s rain, 30 mph Sunday night, and 25 mph on Monday despite sunny skies. A mix of rain and snow is possible Monday night with minimal accumulation.
