Speed limit on part of Forest Drive dropping to 35 mph

Drivers on a stretch of Forest Drive will need to slow down starting Monday, July 27.

What’s Happening: The speed limit between Bywater Road and Arundel on the Bay Road will drop from 40 to 35 mph. Variable message signs are already posted along the road to alert drivers before the change takes effect.

What’s Important: The reduction is part of the Forest Drive Safety Study, a joint effort involving Anne Arundel County, the City of Annapolis, and the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
