Baltimore City recorded 133 homicides in 2025, according to Baltimore Police Department data.

What’s Happening: That’s 31.4% fewer than the 194 people murdered in 2024. Baltimore Police changed how they count historical homicides in December 2025, which altered totals from previous years, but the numbers for 2025 are still a significant drop.

By the Numbers: Nearly 88% of the 133 homicides involved a gun or firearm. The average age of murder victims was just over 34. The majority of victims were Black men.

Where It Happened: Brooklyn recorded the most homicides with 8. Central Park Heights had 7 and Bel Air-Edison had 6.

Non-Fatal Shootings: Non-fatal shootings dropped by about 24% compared to 2024, according to Baltimore Police.
