A driver was found dead Saturday night after his car overturned in the woods along a southern Maryland road.

What’s Happening: Firefighters discovered the overturned vehicle about 800 feet south of the Oliver Shop Road and Edelen Drive intersection in Bryantown around 7:30 p.m. The driver was not breathing when crews arrived.

What’s Important: Emergency responders attempted CPR, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

Between the Lines: The crash happened in a wooded area off the road, and it’s unclear how long the vehicle had been there before someone called 911.
