One driver fled the scene after a head-on crash Monday night in Chaptico.
What’s Happening: Two vehicles collided head-on around 8:30 p.m. on Maddox Road near Chaptico Road, about half a mile in on Maddox. One driver left before emergency crews arrived.
What’s Important: The other driver was taken to a hospital. Maryland State Police were notified and will make contact with the driver who fled.
The Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department responded with ambulance and engine units.
