A tree fell on three vehicles in a driveway on Douglas Circle in Mechanicsville on Saturday morning. The tree also blocked the road.

What’s Happening: Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a service call at 10:44 a.m. Saturday for a tree down on Douglas Circle. The tree landed on three vehicles parked in a driveway and extended across the roadway.

What’s Important: No one was injured and no one was inside the vehicles when the tree fell.

The Response: Engine 224 from Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. Fire departments handle tree removal calls when trees block roads or damage property, particularly when specialized equipment is needed to safely remove large trees.
