Over 4,000 customers lost power in Maryland on Saturday as high winds swept through the state.

What’s Happening: As of 6:23 p.m., 157 active outages affected 4,237 people across Maryland.

What’s Important: High wind warnings were in effect from 4 a.m. through 7 p.m. Saturday. The National Weather Service recorded wind gusts between 40 and 60 mph, with higher gusts over ridges and waters.

What Happens Next: Power companies are working to restore service to affected customers.
