LINTHICUM — A security guard shot and killed another security guard during a dispute at a Northrop Grumman facility in Linthicum on Tuesday afternoon.
What Happened: Officers responded to the facility at 7300 Aviation Boulevard at 3:30 p.m. on January 28 for a shooting report. Joseph Keith Aman, a 37-year-old contracted security guard from Baltimore, died at the scene from gunshot wounds. Dylan Blake Chandler, a 26-year-old contracted security guard from Pasadena, Maryland, has been charged with first- and second-degree murder.
What’s Important: A third contracted security guard disarmed Chandler and held him until police arrived.
Maryland Transportation Authority Police secured the scene before Anne Arundel County Police took over the investigation. The shooting involved only contracted security guards and did not involve Northrop Grumman employees.
