A woman escaped an attempted sexual assault in Glen Burnie on Thursday night after screaming for help and fleeing in her vehicle, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
What Happened: Officers responded to Whitmore Court and Loyd Lane around 8:45 p.m. on February 5. The woman was sitting in her vehicle preparing to throw away trash at a dumpster when a man approached and began sexually assaulting her.
He tried to pull her from her vehicle and force her into his vehicle. She screamed for help and drove away, but he followed her.
What’s Important: Officers spotted a vehicle matching the suspect description behind a nearby Lowe’s store. The driver refused to stop during a traffic stop and drove onto Juneberry Way before crashing into a snow embankment.
Police say he ran from the vehicle and was found hiding behind a dumpster, where officers arrested him without incident. Police identified him as 34-year-old Allen Michael McFadden of Baltimore.
